National Teaching School &
Nationa Support School Status
The National College for Teaching and Leadership, an executive body of the Department for Education, has just awarded us National Teaching School status and National Support School status. These prestigious awards place us at the centre of exciting new developments for training new entrants to teaching, sharing best practice across schools and providing support for schools that may be struggling.
We have already created a network of schools to help us deliver these aims and the good practice we are sharing is having a positive impact on our own standards. I am convinced the benefits of working in partnership in this way have a very healthy impact on the quality of education we can provide and the awards should help us to attract the best new entrants to the profession in the future.
Watch this space for further developments.
We are excited to launch the Green Light Teaching School Alliance which is based at Shelley College.
