Partnership Programme

Partnership Programme

Students in the Sixth Form can take advantage of the Partnership Programme launched September 2011.

The programme allows students access to information about a variety of pathways, that being university, work or apprenticeships. There are lots of events happening throughout the year.

Visiting Speaker from Prestigious Universities

We have a direct link with Oxford University. Year 11 and Year 12 students may visit and attended a prelim interview with an admissions tutor from St Johns. Follow up events include visits from lecturers, undergraduates and post graduates throughout the academic year.

We advertise forthcoming events through the website, moodle and sixth form bulletin.

Other active university links are:

Apprenticeships

Higher Level Apprenticeships offer a new work-based route into professions which have traditionally been the preserve of graduates. See the national website for details

Careers Convention

This year this important event is held in November every year. Over 30 local companies and training providers inform students about the opportunities available.

Denby Dale Rotary Club

The club are very keen supporters of Shelley College, sponsoring our sixth form Bursary awards and two very prestigious residentials each summer. Students studying in Year 12 can apply for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award in January 2016.
